CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FROM CHIEF NELSON ALAPA

It is with profound sadness that I extend my deepest condolences to the people of Edikwu in Apa Local Government Area of Benue State, as well as other communities that have suffered loss of life and property destruction in recent attacks. The persistent killings and wanton destruction of properties in our state are a grave concern that demands urgent attention.

I strongly condemn these senseless acts of violence, which not only claim innocent lives but also undermine the good work of our government and people. The incessant bloodshed has the potential to discredit the progress we have made in promoting peace, security, and development in our state.

I urge the Federal Government to swiftly intervene and deploy all necessary forces to secure lives and properties in Benue State. The safety of lives and protection of properties is a fundamental responsibility of government, and it is imperative that we take all necessary measures to prevent further loss of life and property.

I emphasize that this issue should be treated with the urgency it deserves, without politicization or partisan considerations. The lives of our people are too precious to be subjected to political expediency. I appeal to all stakeholders, including security agencies, government officials, and community leaders, to work together to restore peace and security to our state.

May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may we find the strength to support their families and loved ones during this difficult time.

Signed

Chief Nelson Alapa
